national library...? piece of architecture...? or waste of $$$...?
went into forums today and read abt the national library thread...
got me all DU LAN...
knn...
government spend $600m on the "durian" and got singapore on the world map ppl oso du lan...
government spend $200m on the library and got singapore on the world map again ppl oso buey song...
if u ppl are so good... then do something and get singapore on the map again...
bloody hell... ALL TALK and NO ACTION...
in my honest opinion...
i think the new national library is a piece of architecture...
the $200m was worth spending...
(though i can do the same with just a $100m budget *blush*)
y cant some people just take a step back n look at the bigger picture...
it's not just the library alone...
it's what's around the library too...
the esplanade... the museum and stuff...
frankly speaking...
i find some of the comments in the thread shallow and hilarious...
not to mention childish too...
i dun mean to say what i feel is correct...
but i just feel that it is not too correct to force their judgement on other people's decision...
before they even know the rational behind everything...
